This painting depicts a daisugi tree as it thrives in a vast, dry desert. There is a single drop of water falling from the skies into a crack in the land that is starting to revitalize the plant life. The poem in the center reads, "Tranquil before the chaos, static pulsating through the dank summer air, the rain begins to spill from the mother's eyes. Her tears slip from the heavens through the clouds. She weeps as her children abuse the gifts she so graciously shared. High on greed, she wonders how they lost their way, straying so far from the path with no vision to get back on track. Blind, wandering through a maze of glutton the mother, heartbroken, she drowns her sorrows the once lush countryside.  The tides climb, rivers overflow, she hopes to finally quench the incessant thirst and begin again."
